First 40 mile week wasn't too bad.. tough on an Easter weekend with plenty of other priorities, but I felt decent through the 12 miler and then actually felt great for the Sunday 5 miler to close out the week. I'm probably doing more mileage than I should, all things considered (meaning, my lack of running for several years until Dec. 2016), but I've tried to take it slow enough to avoid injury. This has worked in the past: I can add more mileage if I can keep it slow. The new element this time around has been the extensive use of the treadmill (5 of 6 runs most weeks). We'll see how that pans out eventually.
This may sound strange, but even after nearly 4 months of running consistently, I've only now just started to think about different goals. I better sign up for a race or do a time trial soon gauge where I'm at fitness-wise.
